I've been thinking about how I am going to document this upcoming trip to Ireland. I was thinking a journal, but it wouldn't let other people who are interested (ie: friends/family) know what I am up to. So I came up with this, a online blog. So to all those who are reading, I will hopefully write everyday with updates.. Especially when I'm actually in Ireland.. For right now, I'm just going to post when I have big news. So here it goes!
On Saturday, I will be attending my orientation at SUNY Albany. I will be heading up there with my mom, staying the day and probably staying over my cousin, Mary Hyde's house that night. I just recieved an e-mail from the coordinater of study abroad at Albany, Jessica, today with a list of other participants in the Ireland program. I've gotten 2 friend requests on Facebook already and another person e-mailed me. I'm so excited for this to actually start!
These next 32 days have to go by faster.. I say that now, but it'll probably go by too fast, and I'll be begging for more time! I have to figure out what I will bring! I have soo many clothes and things that I don't think I'll be able to live without for 6 months! Can I bring my dogs? No? How about my cello? No? Oh no!
Well, here's some important information.. I will be living for the first month, with my cousin, Anna, her husband, and their son. The whole reason I chose Ireland was to get to know family, so this is perfect. I'm excited to stay with her. I'm also excited to get to live on my own, and hopefully have a roommate (whom I get along with).
Well, that is it for now, I'll probably write again on Sunday about orientation.
'Til then, Cheers. :0)
